Who controls your data

What we collect
- From you when you pay: name, email, billing details and the wedding date. Stripe handles card details; we never see your full card number.
- From the questionnaire: your answers, including names and stories about the couple and other people you mention.
- From emails: anything you send us, such as edit requests.
Why we use it
To write and deliver your speech, handle edits and refunds, and keep the records the law requires. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you. For payment records, it's our legal obligation to keep tax records.
People you mention
Your stories will name other people. Please share only what's needed for the speech and nothing you know they'd object to. We use those details only to write your speech.
Who processes it for us
- Stripe: payments
- Supabase: stores your questionnaire answers
- Google (Gmail): email, including the Word document your speech is delivered in
- Google Ads: only if you accept cookies, to measure which ads led to a purchase
- Resend: sends the emails from our contact form and new order alerts
- Anthropic: the AI model used in our writing process
- Vercel: hosts this website and counts page views. It doesn't store your questionnaire answers.
Some of these companies process data outside the UK under recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We delete your questionnaire answers, drafts and speech 60 days after we send your final version. We keep payment records for 6 years because tax law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it early. Email us and we'll respond within 1 month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We ask before setting any advertising cookies. If you click Accept, we load Google's advertising tag, which sets cookies so we can see whether someone who clicked one of our Google ads went on to buy. We don't use it for remarketing or to build profiles. If you click No thanks, or ignore the banner, the tag doesn't load. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
The questionnaire saves your answers in your own browser until you send them, so you don't lose your progress, and we remember your cookie choice the same way. Stripe sets cookies on its payment page to prevent fraud.
We also count page views using Vercel Analytics. It sets no cookies and doesn't track you across other websites. It tells us how many people visited a page and roughly where in the world they were, and nothing that identifies you.
